She wants to pass on that she is extremely grateful for all you did today. She thinks you’re brilliant, that you were extremely kind and did far more than was expected of you. Thank you.
- Mrs. P (Speaking about our senior carer Becca)
Thank you for all the care given to my father. It is good to know he is being so well looked after. It is much appreciated.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you very much to Richard, Joanna and the team for all your care and support of M during these last few years, very much appreciated.
- SF (Senior Social Worker, Devon County Council)
Dear Joanna,
We were so touched that Sue took time to come to Mummy’s funeral. I just wanted to let you know how appreciative we are of the care all your staff provided for my mother. Thank you.
- RJ
She was extremely fond of Sue (Carer) – she talked to me often about her. She loved her visits, and I wanted to thank her for being a part of Mummy’s life in her later years. I know Mum would have wanted me to do this.
- RJ
Dear Joanna,
I have returned from leave to hear the sad news about A. I just wanted to send my condolences and best wishes to you and the team at Absolute Care as I know how committed to A you were.
- TM (Social Worker Devon)
Dear Joanna,
I would like to personally thank you and your staff for the caring & professional way you supported my mother over the last year. Allowing her to remain in her own home, in keeping with her in her final few moments of life and lovely flowers at the crem.
- JA
On behalf of my family and myself, I would like to thank all those at Absolute Care which showed DC such kindness and compassion at such a very difficult time for DC and all of us.
- LC, TC, DC, CC & Dr. M
Thank you for your kindness in taking me out to Blackberry Camp to see the bluebells on my birthday last Wednesday. It was very kind of you to think of me.
- MH

- BH
Thank you for the wonderful care given to R.
- R and Family
Dear Andrea,
Just to say a big thank you for all you did for M. You looked after him brilliantly and I will always be grateful. He may have been a little bit challenging at times but at least he didn’t bite! It all happened so fast at the end, but it was a blessing as I was able to keep him at home which is what I always wanted to do. If ever you feel like calling in for a cup of tea, you know where I am. Many, many thanks, I am going to miss you.
- R S-F
Dear Joanna,
I want to thank you so much for all the you have given me over the past three months. I got to know all the carers who came in to get M washed and dressed in the morning, hoisted into his chair and back in to bed in the evening.
The care he received was exceptional and the carers did a wonderful job. You should be very proud of them. I will miss them all as I came to think of them as friends as well as carers. They were always very courteous, caring and cheerful and I was very happy to have them in my house.
I was never let down and how you managed to change the rota from double handed in the morning and single handed in the evening to double handed three times a day without notice, I will never know.
A big thank you to everyone at Absolute Care South West. Well done.
- R S-F
Hello Richard, it’s been good working with you and your staff, and I think the good communication between us has been helpful to M.E.
- DG (Primary Care Learning Disability Liaison Nurse)
Dear Joanna and Richard,
Just a small card to say a very big thank you to you and your wonderful girls who looked after Mum so well. She misses you all very much.
- SL
Hello Joanna and Richard,
I cannot thank you enough for sending me both Helen and Sandie, AMAZING. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything. You should be so proud you run a good ship and your staff are fantastic. Very kind regards.
- J
Hi Sandie,
S, his wife, was so complimentary about all the carers who tended to K (yourself, Mary Ann and Richard) and asked me to pass on her sincere thanks to you all, she was extremely grateful for the quality time our carers her to spend with K over the last month or so of his life.
- SE
Thank you both so much (and also your lovely team) for all the good care you took of B and making it possible for him to be at home at the end. I know that he appreciated it as I did.
- VB
Thanks for all your help with Mum.
- IC
Dear Richard,
I felt I had to write and say a personal thank you for all the help you gave my parents-in-law which allowed J to nurse B at home. Although I do not undervalue the direct help you gave them, I feel that you made a major contribution by talking to J and explaining the cause and effects of B’s illness. We were amazed at his patience and understanding. I am sure that a large part of this was due to the understanding of her problems from your chats – and the therapy for him received by giving him a listening ear. Thank you again. Keep up the good work, for it makes the world a better place!

Earlier this year I had to telephone Absolute Care at midday for help when my wife had a urine infection and could not walk. Joanna Read answered the call and said she would come straight away, which she did. She stayed with me for 2 to 3 hours until the situation was resolved. She would not charge for this extra help. For me, I call that real dedication to care and I wish to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks.
- JR
Thank you for all your gentle care through a difficult time.
- Dr & Mrs. JE
I understand that your team is doing a great job with mother and wanted to thank you for the high quality of care you have been providing and your ability to respond to the ever-changing circumstances. I also heard that you all successfully braved the recent snow which must have been a bit of a challenge. Best wishes.
- AA
Andrea, thank you for lending D this book. It was one of the only things he was interested in reading. Thank you also for all your kindness to us both.
- G and D
Dear Joanna, Richard and All the Carers and Office Staff,
Many thanks for all your support, help and kindness over these past three months. Best wishes to you all.
- G and D
Feedback from AS on the care of his mother and indeed all the family over the last week or so:In Joanna and Richard’s absence Andrea has been excellent, including looking after my father, I don’t know what I would have done without them. Thank you from me also, very kind and much appreciated.
- SF (Senior Social Worker, Devon County Council)
Dear Jo,
This is just to say a big thank you to yourself and Richard and indeed all your team – for the wonderful way you have looked after me since I came out of hospital. You have helped me through a very difficult time, and I am most grateful. I should also like to commend Emma to you, she is an exceptional carer in this situation. Also, Becka, who has blossomed under your skilful guidance. With all good wishes and renewed thanks.
- A
Dear Joanna, thank you very much for taking time to speak to me this afternoon. I am reassured by your words, and grateful that you will visit Mum to discuss how things are going for her and assess whether she may need more support from your company. I know she is very fond of both Hanna and Sue. I am so appreciative of your support and advice.
- RJ
Dear Joanna and Richard,
Thank you for coming to M’s funeral and your fabulous flowers, they were stunning and so unexpected. I have them and they are still doing well. I am so glad you were able to look after M for the last 3 months of his life. It made such a difference having care provided by people who really care. I would like to certainly recommend Absolute Care to anyone needing help. What I really appreciated was the personal touch. I was treated as a friend and not just a client, and for that I thank you. Many, many thanks again.

To Joanna, Richard and All the Wonderful Carers Who Looked After Mum in The Last Three Years,
My special thanks to Andrea for always taking Mum to appointments. Fiona, who kept Mum’s medicines on track etc. Helen, for all the night duties. Tommy, who Mum adored. MUM HAD THE CREAM OF DEVON CARERS. Thank you all.
- J & Family
This lovely young carer saved my life today after she found me in a severe diabetic hypo, she gave me a glucagon kit and called 999. When I came out of the hypo there were 3 paramedics here. Thank you so very much HG for saving my life! I cannot thank you enough for everything you do for me and mum.
- J
To Joanna & Richard,
Thank you to you and everyone at Absolute Care who kindly gave assistance to my mother, Sadie.
- A
On a really lovely note, your carer Agne, was amazing during her visit this week. Please thank her for her care, understanding and total compassion with the situation.
Dad was so relaxed and happy to have Agnes looking after him throughout the night. He said he has never had such wonderful care. Each time he woke, Agnes was there with a glass of water for him to drink, moisture for his lips and extra bedding or less bedding as required.
- AD
Dear Joanna,
I cannot thank you and your carers enough for the amazing care which you gave my mother. Diane was so very kind, caring, professional and patient with my mother. Annie was wonderful too and Harriet impressed me with her quiet and thorough understanding of what was entailed. You have all been so kind and helpful… Please pass on my sincere thanks to all your carers who looked after my mother, especially Diane, Annie and Harriet. And mostly, Joanna, I am indebted to you for your professional handling of the situation and also your immense kindness and patience. Kind regards.
